Please take time to read and understand the Terms & Conditions set out below prior to booking any service with us. By booking a workshop, course, tuition or hide rental with Peak Nature you, along with any other named people on the booking, are deemed to have agreed to these conditions. The services to be provided are those referred to in your booking confirmation.

All Workshops, Courses, Hide Rentals & Tuition (the Service)

1. Payment

  1. A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place. The cost of this deposit will vary depending on the service and will be stated on the corresponding web page.
  2. All deposits are non-refundable.
  3. The balance of your payment is due 3 weeks before the start date of the service. If booking within 3 weeks of the start date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
  4. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if payment is not made to us when due.
  5. Payments by cheque are subject to different clearing timescales and this should be taken into account when paying a deposit or balance.

2. Cancellation by Peak Nature

  1. Should a course or workshop be cancelled by Peak Nature for any reason, we will endeavour to reschedule your booking, or refund any payments in full, including your deposit. We accept liability up to, but not exceeding the amount you have paid to us.
  2. If it becomes necessary for Peak Nature to cancel your booking, we will endeavour to notify you as soon as reasonably practical.
  3. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if you are found to be in breach of our Terms & Conditions or stated policies. You will be asked to leave the site and will not be entitled to a refund.
  4. In the event of poor weather conditions that we deem to be a danger to you or the wildlife, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel any booking. Please see Force Majeure.

Force Majeure - It may become necessary to cancel your booking due to events outside our control. In such circumstances, Peak Nature is not liable or responsible (including weather conditions, flooding, pandemic). We will make every effort to notify you of such events as soon as reasonably practical and will     endeavour to reschedule your booking. If this is not possible, a full refund will be given, including your deposit.

3. Cancellation by You

Cancellation of a booking must be done in writing by letter or email. The date this notification is received by Peak Nature will be used to calculate whether a refund, if any, is applicable.

Refunds are calculated on the following basis:

  1. Notification of cancellation received within 14 days of the start date = no refund     
  2. Notification of cancellation received between 15 and 27 days of start date = 50% refund, minus your deposit.     
  3. Notification of cancellation received 28 days (4 weeks) or more before the start date - full refund, minus your deposit.

4. Inclusions

See the descriptions of individual services for details of what you can expect to be provided by Peak Nature.

  5. Meals unless specifically stated
  6. Telephone calls
  7. Flights, accommodation, car hire, public transport costs

6. Health & Safety

  1. Participants must be 18 years or older, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.     
  2. Some services offered by Peak Nature involve visiting rural, remote or mountainous areas where there are natural hazards and access to medical facilities and amenities is limited. Your safety is our top priority, but it is a fundamental booking condition that all participants understand the risks, potential dangers and hazards associated with visiting such areas.
  3. Some services offered by Peak Nature can be physically demanding and you are responsible for ensuring you are suitably fit to allow full participation.     
  4. Peak Nature's hides are situated on a working farm and as such, there may be farm machinery and livestock in the area. You should exercise care to prevent personal injury and only stray from hides when escorted by Peak Nature.     
  5. Medical conditions and disabilities should be advised to Peak Nature at the time of booking. Advice will be given about whether any significant conditions may impact the participation.     
  6. Peak Nature are not medically trained. You are responsible for your own personal health, fitness and medication and it is essential that you bring any necessary medical and first aid supplies with you.

7. Behaviour

  1. For safety, we have a no smoking policy. Smoking and vaping is not permitted in our hides, or in the vicinity of our hides. While outdoors, we ask smokers to refrain from smoking or vaping in the proximity of wildlife and request that smokers dispose of used cigarette ends responsibly.     
  2. Noise should be kept to a minimum and mobile phones turned to silent when in the proximity of wildlife or for the duration of your time in our hides.     
  3. Leave all locations as you found them and take your rubbish home with you.          
  4. Any behaviour that, in our reasonable opinion, may cause or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to wildlife, any third party, property or fauna (including the collecting of any specimen from the natural world), Peak Nature are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate the service. We will have no further responsibility towards you and no refunds will be made.     
  5. We strongly advise you to familiarise yourself with the Countryside Code.

7. Wildlife

  1. Wildlife is unpredictable and Peak Nature cannot guarantee that advertised species will be seen or that photographs will be obtained. We cannot accept any responsibility for the behaviour of wild animals and do not offer refunds or free services for no-shows.
  2. If subjects exhibit behaviour that indicates they will not visit our hides, we will endeavour to contact you as soon as reasonably practical. In such circumstances, you will be offered the choice of upholding or rescheduling your booking. If this is not possible, a full refund will be given, including your deposit.     
  3. Wildlife comes first. Peak Nature reserves the right to cancel your booking if you are found to be a risk to the area's wildlife. You will be asked to leave the site and will not be entitled to a refund.

8. Travel

  1. If travelling from abroad, international flights must be arranged by the customer. Peak Nature cannot accept responsibility for changes or alterations to these arrangements.
  2. Any independent arrangements you make, which are not part of Peak Nature's service, are entirely at your own risk.
  3. Peak Nature cannot be held responsible for; the consequences of any delays, expenses incurred or alterations caused by illness, weather, war, terrorism, political events, civil strife, natural disaster, technical difficulties or any event beyond our control.
  4. We strongly advise you have your own personal travel insurance in place, covering cancellation and curtailment, medical and emergency expenses (including repatriation), personal accident, injury and death in addition to loss/damage of personal possessions and flight cancellations/delays.

9. Insurance

We strongly advise you to purchase adequate insurance for the duration of the service and activities undertaken. Responsibility for arranging relevant insurance lies solely with you.

10. Equipment

  1. During our services, your equipment may be exposed to the elements or accidental damage. We are not responsible for any damage incurred to your personal     possessions, including photographic equipment.
  2. The responsibility of valuables, camera equipment and other personal items belonging to you will remain with you at all times while undertaking a service with Peak Nature. Peak Nature will not be held responsible for damage or loss of these items.
  3. Please think carefully about what you bring with you and keep your valuables with you at all times.     
  4. Peak Nature reserves the right to cancel or curtail a service if you are not deemed to be suitably equipped for the planned activities. Details of all necessary equipment is stated on the relevant web page and in your booking confirmation.

11. Liability

  1. Peak Nature will not accept responsibility for accidents, injury, illness, carelessness, negligence, lack of fitness and lack of punctuality attributable to you.     
  2. Peak Nature reserves the right to alter any part of a service’s content or itinerary for any reason and without notice, refund or additional charge. Any changes to the service will be of a similar quality to originally described and you will be advised of significant changes.
  3. Peak Nature does not accept liability for death, bodily injury or illness unless this arises from the negligent act and/or omission of Peak Nature employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.
  4. Peak Nature cannot be held responsible for; the consequences of any delays, expenses incurred or alterations caused by illness, weather, war, terrorism, political events, civil strife, natural disaster, technical difficulties or any event beyond our control.

12. Complaints

We hope that you find all aspects of your time with Peak Nature enjoyable, but if you have a complaint about a service, it must be made in writing and received by Peak Nature within fourteen days of the end of the activity taken part in.

13. Privacy

All information submitted is held electronically. No information will ever be passed to third parties. Should you wish not to have any information about you stored, please contact us.


You have 30 days to return an item from the date you received it.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

Your item must be in the original packaging.

Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.


Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your debit/credit card (or original method of payment).

You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.


You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable.

If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
