A Hare's Habitat

Peak District National Park

Collection: Habitats
Image ref: PN_CJ_0007463-2

Mountain hare habitat is big. In some cases, very big. The moorlands of the Peak District National Park can feel very barren and remote at any time of the year, especially with cold weather. Mountain hare seem to take these conditions in their stride. During the day they will find a sheltered position out of the wind and rest before resuming their foraging at night.
