Donna Nook is a well known breeding spot for grey seals, however in recent years, disturbance has hampered their breeding success. A few years before this trend was observed, I visited to find a healthy population, including this pup (whose mother was just to the right, out of frame). Ironically, the vast emptiness of the beach behind now serves an image of the seals' plight.
