I spent several morning in a row shooting Bamburgh Castle at sunrise. Each day brought different conditions and many factors come into place when shooting a coastal landscape including wind, cloud cover, the time the sun rises and, of course, the tide. Finding a patch of seaweed on the beach, I used this to anchor the image and balance it against the castle in the opposite corner.
