The Isle of May off the east coast of Scotland is one of the hidden treasures of Fife. Home to a large population of seabirds and mammals, the small island is also used by marine biologists from the University of St Andrews as a research post. During summer, puffins will return to the island to breed, making countless trips out to sea and back to find food for their young.
